Women's Health
Women’s health concerns are extremely common, yet a lot of women ignore their symptoms thinking nothing can be done, when in fact there is usually a lot that can be done.
Common issues such as painful, heavy or irregular periods could be a sign of an underlying medical problem such as endometriosis or fibroids. They can usually be managed and are not something you have to put up with.
Other common concerns such as PMS (premenstrual tension), breast lumps, breast pain and vulval issues such as itch and discharge are also important symptoms which should be looked after.
Routine women’s health care is key to maintaining good health. At Ponsonby Doctors we also offer pap smears and routine breast checks.
Please allow up for a 30 min appointment to allow us sufficient time to discuss your health concerns and provide any treatment or tests needed.
